Design of the new Blue School mascot, environmental graphics, jerseys and school merchandise.
The Blue School Jays are shooting through space, in motion, aiming in a multitude of directions—like arrows being shot through the sky with precision across the fields and indoor courts. This design represents the drive and determination that takes one to victory. The italic typeography of the word Jays puts us in motion, points us forward. This new wordmark is hand lettered so as to be the same typeface as the Blue School logo, but in its italic counterpart. This keeps it harmonious, familiar, and flexible. The Jays wordmark can live alone without the bird, but typically sits as one unit, with a playful toy-like quality that the kids will love because it can be positioned at different angles, on different trajectories. It is sharp and fast and begs to be played with. The applications are endless.
