THE SHORT OF IT
Erin Bazos is a Chicago-born, RISD-trained, New York-based graphic designer.
From identity and branding projects to window displays for luxury brands and one-of-a-kind print pieces, Erin’s work reflects the solid conceptual foundations of her time at RISD. To this, add Erin’s devotion to the beauty and quality of her work; the years she spent living and working in Italy were an immersion into all things beautiful and changed her way of seeing for good.
Erin works on a broad range of projects for both private clients and luxury brands, some of which include Mikimoto, Chopard, Tag Heuer, Swarovski, Christo and Jeanne-Claude and Interscope Records.
Erin founded her network-based studio AdD (Art Direction + Design) in 2009.
THE LONG OF IT
Born and raised in Chicago, Erin grew up painting and performing. Her bent for creativity and deep-rooted love for the arts led her to pursue a career as an artist, which began with her studies in Graphic Design at Rhode Island School of Design. During her time at RISD, she was among a select group of students to take part in the European Honors Program in Rome, Italy. After graduating in 2000, Erin moved to New York to take a position as a Designer at Razorfish, a digital leader at that time.
Erin soon felt the pull to return to Rome, where she spent the next six years. While working for a niche corporate branding studio, Carré Noir, Erin encountered new brand development strategies and an exciting range of clients—from Rome restaurant giant 'Gusto to commuter rail titan Ferrovie Nord.
Italy was an inspiration for Erin, to say the very least. In the Italian way of being Erin saw a kindred spirit. Devotion to impeccable quality and beauty is the foundation of who she is today as a design fanatic and enthusiastic creative professional.
Erin became the head Creative Director of Hangar Design Group, a global design agency founded and based in Treviso, Italy. This position placed her back in New York, which allowed her to work stateside while maintaining a thread of connection with European brands. Two years later, Erin formed her own network-based studio called AdD (Art Direction + Design).
Erin lives in Williamsburg with her husband Erich Schoenenberger of SU11 Architecture + Design (www.su11.com) and her two amazing children.
